Two sets of Nikon D700 ISO 6400 RAW / NEF image sample files for download
Note: The RAW / NEF files can only be opened with Nikon Capture NX 2 or the latest version of View NX.
Here are two sets of ISO6400 RAW / NEF photos that you can download for evaluating the image noise characteristics of the Nikon D700.
The images are not taken by me, but were provided by Gabor of PanoPeeper.com who posted a thread on DPReview.com on these files.
Conversions to JPEG were performed with Nikon Capture NX 2 and saved at the highest JPEG quality setting.

The first ISO 6400 photo was shot in FX (full-frame) mode with a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G lens (reviews, sample images) under indoor artificial lighting.

The second photo was shot outdoors in good light. The RAW file is smaller in size because the Nikon D700 was put into DX (1.5-crop) mode in order to shoot with a Nikon 18-200mm VR lens (reviews, sample images).
